Welcome to East Texas!
For years "Lost Cajuns" were wandering in the foothills of The Smokies in Tennessee, wondering where they could find a good crawfish boil.
One day, someone decided to see how many people from Louisiana live in these foothills. Astoundingly, within the first 18 months more than 270 "Lost Cajun" families were found. With the aftermath of Katrina, the name "Lost Cajuns" has become more significant.
Since Katrina, many folks from the Bayou State have been scattered across the country and a number of them settled right here in East Texas. With a desire to band together in the spirit of the "Lost Cajuns", our group in Longview, TX was born.
